Account Manager-Nutrition, Midwest (BH 785)

Products & Markets:

Specialty ingredients such as vitamins,  probiotics, botanicals,  etc. sold into food/nutrition/nutraceutical applications

Location/Territory/Travel: Anywhere near a major airport in the Midwest, as far south as Texas and as far east as OH. Travel is ~ 30-40% overnight. Region revenue is ~ $15+MM.


Ideal: Food Science degree and 10 years of sales into nutrition market.

The ideal candidate will have a Food Science degree, an MBA  and 10 years of experience selling into the Food and or Nutraceutical industry. They will have experience in negotiating and securing business contracts.  They will be familiar with the customer base and knowledgeable about the requirements of the target industry.

Will consider candidates without technical degree or an MBA if they have a proven track record of success selling technical ingredients into these markets.

Area of Responsibility (business specifics): Responsible for managing and growing the company’s Nutrition/Food business in the Central US within a defined customer base. The successful individual will be responsible for developing relationships with both Purchasing and Technical personnel at the accounts. They will be responsible for price management and bid submissions with the expectation of maintaining existing business and winning new business awards.
